Do you think Graystripe made the right choice of letting Stormfur and Feathertail grow up in River Clan?

Spoiler Alert!!!!!

Graystripe and Sliverstreams kits were brought to Thunder Clan.  But River Clan wanted them.  Graystripe wanted the world to be with his kits, after Sliverstream died.  He decided to go with his kits into River Clan, leaving Thunder Clan.  He was in River Clan for a few moons.  Graystripe was missing Thunder Clan, and most of all, Fireheart.  Sooner or later, he went back to Thunder Clan.  He had to make the hard choice to leave his kits behind, or take them with him.  Here's what I think he should have done:
     
        Graystripe should have took his kits with him to Thunder Clan.  Then, when the 4 warriors went on the journy from Star Clan to find a new place to live, Feathertail wouldn't have been chosen to go because she was in the same Clan as Brambleclaw, and he would be the warrior chosen from Star Clan to go.  And she would be alive and her brother (Stormfur) wouldn't have went with the Tribe Of  Rushing Water.  So then, Graystripe would have both of his kits with him in his Clan.  That is what I think Graystripe should have done with his kits.
